Trainees - The Digitising Process

The UTC@MediaCityUK trainees came to us with no experience of digitising. The initial session was all about introducing them to Jack Henry Moore’s life, the process of digitising and using the machine. By the second session they were using the machines all on their own. After digitising they learned how to log the footage that they had been digitising. Logging received mixed reviews due to its timely nature but they all agreed that getting to watch the footage that they worked on was an amazing opportunity.

When the trainee’s were asked to make a vlog about the process of digitising they decided to make a video of themselves demonstrating how to use the machine. In such a short time they not only picked up how to use the machine but was comfortable demonstrating and explaining the process to others.
